Default Martini & Rossi 924

I'm eyeballing a 77 Martini & Rossi, mostly original, very very clean, one owner, 86K miles, great running condition, but will probably need a head gasket. NADA says a 77 in immaculate condition is worth a max of $3900. Any ideas on how to valuate this car so I can make a reasonable offer???

Sounds like a nice find. How bad is the head gasket leak? The early 924 seems prone to leaking head gaskets. I might be biased to the Championship Edition, but original owner and original condition speaks volumes. You can't buy much of anything for $4,000 let alone an original Porsche. I bought mine in September from the second owner (23 yrs) for $3950 ( he wanted $4,800)! 62,000 original miles. All original except for muffler, dash, some minor paint touch up and A/C converted to 134a. The dash has no cracks and was replace over 22 year ago because the original dash had cracks. Only problem is the replacement dash is Black instead of the correct Antracite. Everything else is very good to excellent. I even got a set of NOS stripes for the right side of the car that the PO bought but did not need to use. If you do not buy the car, please pass along the sellers contact information to me.

Good luck!

Here is a link to the for sale notice on 924.org :

The current owner's email is there (don't want to repost here without permission). I have ruled out this vehicle in favor of an '80 928 Euro (can you say "vrooom!")
