Default OXS light reset butoon

The Haynes manual speaks of a button near the left wheel well. It says you need to remove the engine cover. Anyway to press the button and get rid of my obnoxious OSX light from the top of the engine bay? This is on an '82 931 BTW.

The speedo cable goes to a little black box that says "EGR" on it. Then another speedo cable goes to the speedo. Where else could the button be? I didn't find a button on the little box.

I didn't misspell "button", ErichCS. Plus, you got no turbo. No turbo, no boost. No boost, no hoses popping off left and right.

Just to let other 924 (REAL 924's that is, the kind with VW engines) people know, the button is located on the black box by the left front fender that says EGR on it. It is on the bottom, and you can feel it with your finger. You can't reset it with your finger, though, so use a coat hanger.

Hey ErichCS, wanna trade cars? Mine's faster.

Butoon it is.

According to JG4454, who is an unfortunate expert on the foibles of 931 ownership, and I quote:

"...therefore, anyone who has hoses popping off left and right after accidentally winning a 931 on ebay may refer to the OXS reset button, located under the left front fender (after consulting the Haynes manual which advises raising the car on jackstands, removing the engine cover, getting under the car and searching for "the button", and then using a screwdriver to press it) and then places clear and concise intrustions on Rennlist for easily finding and resetting the button, may gladly refer to the button as a "Butoon" providing he also include the words "OXS" and "reset".

You and me, Road Atlanta, any day except for Wednesday. Loser buys the beer.
