Hey guys need a bit of help here.

I have a 1985 porsche 924, it did not come with an ac unit, so no compressor,evaporator, etc., been roaming around to see where do they install the compressor or how it works, can't find much on that, can anyone help with that.
And are there any ready made kits perhaps that I can buy.

I'm not aware of aftermarket AC "kit" systems for these cars. Best bet would be to source a parts car from which an entire system could be harvested.

 

There were dealer-installed DPD systems installed back in the day, but I would agree with Gage and find a factory installed parts car and harvest from that. As a non-AC car, you will lose one of the gauges in the center console, don't remember which. The AC control **** will be in the center. Be aware that on the 2.0L cars, adding AC will kill whatever meager level of performance currently exists.
