Interesting that at the 24 minute marker he says that they went with a special head gasket that had recessed rings, actually, seperated recessed rings. Anyone know about these sperated rings and why they might be better? Do they keep the cylinders from moving around?

Nice car!
The 924 block is cast Iron closed deck so no issues with cylinders moving around like on the 944/968 engines.
I guess that kind of head gasket it better for high boost applications.
