Default 944 rims

Can anyone tell me where u can get the black 944 rims, not the phone dial style but the ones that have like a 5 spoke design. Are these real magnesium. I have the 928 style on my 951 and was thinking about picking up a set like this. Anyone know how much a good set would go for ?? thanks.

I believe you are talking about Fuchs wheels. They are on some 944s and many 80s 911 Carerras. There are also "cookie cutter" wheels found on early 944s that will not fit your car. On the 951 the offsets changed in 1987 and up so you would have some spacer issues depending on what year your car is. The Fuchs are pretty expensive due to their light weight and strength. Check the classifides on here for them. Here is a picture of the Fuchs wheel.

The first question is what year is your 951? I would guess its a late one(87+) if you already have 928 wheels on it...

The Phonedial wheels came in both 23mm and 52mm offsets. The factory Fuchs wheels will fit the '86 951 but not the '87+.

Thanks for info mine is the 88 turbo, I really liked the "cookie cutter'' style as u called it that I have seen on the older 944's however I guess they will not fit on the 1988 turbo, thanks again.

Is there a weight difference between equally sized 15x7 phone dials and cookie cutters?

Thanks,

Steve
