Exclamation Weird 996 turbo Paint? look:

I came across this on Ebay. Don't know if its stock paint or not. I'm kinda indifferent on if like it or not. Thoughts?

Porsche will paint your car any color you want, so it could very well be factory.

In fact, I think that's one of the colors in the 993 commercial where they are showing where they got their "inspiration" for some new colors.

Michael, they could have swapped them from left to right (twists are uni-directional right?), but that's about it.

Looks like Riviera Blue although the lighting in the picture isn't ideal and makes it look washed out.

Answering your question, personally I abhore this color, not only for this car but in general for anything other than feathers of exotic birds and the ocean by my future beach shack.

its a cool color.

i don't see how left to right would either constitute 'rotation' unless you changed the tires, not the wheels. i also don't see how simply changing the wheels side to side would even out wear, unless the suspension was staggered for nascrap style hick racing.

Oh, right, I missed that part on the site...

If you're running somewhat much camber for instance, it might make sense to swap tires left to right. Depends on the tread design if this can be done or not I guess... I know need to swap mine, the outside edges are busted on both front tires

It's definately Riviera Blue. Very few of them are in the states that are that color. I think it would grow on me after awhile like my car has. I like!

We've had a Riv blue 968 cab at the last two Hershey meets, and I dig it.

It's probably the same color as this. That pic is just washed out real bad.

Plus if you look at their other auctions every pic of every other car is bad. It's obvious they bought some $39.99 camera. Pin heads.
