Starter/alternator harness routing 1992 968 manual
Hi All,
I made a new starter harness, but having issues finding photos that show routing and clamp points.
This car is a junk yard save that was disassembled, so I have no frame of reference to work off of.
Thanks for all replies.
Best,
John

You'll probably get a better response to your 968 questions over on the 968 section here.
Looking forward to seeing the responses. I *should* have a couple of pictures that I can post later
that are on my other computer.

It's pretty dark back there but from recollection, the last rubber wrapped clamp is at the long bolt for the starter and is used as the washer in the typical porsche fashion.
The harness is then attached to the block/bellhousing by another wrapped clamp below the AOS where it splits to the alt feed and the main battery cable comes up the drivers side firewall.
The alt wire should clip to the intake to engine mounting arm bracket and the battery wire harness is strapped to upper run/loom across the top of the firewall.
It really isn't obvious where the alts exciter wire or starter solenoid wire combines without taking stuff loose but I would assume they feed from the pinned plug above the clutch master.
