why do you guys think he was serious, even after he said its ugly and he explained that he felt that this was a poor 944? It was obviously sarcastic. Why would anyone, but the moron that did it (and called then European GT-something conversion on his ebay auction) actually think it looks good?

Geeze, am I the only one that hates all the room the headlight system takes under the hood? I am working on models for a fixed headlight system right now, and it certainly has some challenges, but if it can be done properly, I think it could look very good.

I think the Sunfire light looks terrible, by the way...

Regards,

I like this one:

Too bad the guy had to use foglights to get the right size/shape... but It looks awesome nonetheless.

Wow that conversion on the white one is pretty nice...looks pricey though...but the Sunfire lights, oh god...
I would rather my car be mistaken for ANYTHING but a Pontiac Sunfire...those are the worst looking things on the road..
Where did the guy get that done patrat?

I had an idea mulling in my head...
You know how Mazda Miatas have similar popup lights to our cars (which look awful and huge and dumb)...well Ive seen a riced out one around town with an "RX-7/NSX" -type headlight conversion, where the lights only pop up half way, and there are 2 round HID-style lights instead, kinda like on the white one...what do you guys think of this?? I think it would look really cool for an alternative...only how to go about doing it...

Friendan, I brought up the same point prob 2 years ago. We have a miata and I have always wanted to get that kit for it as it really looks good. (there is one that has it done where we autox) But im not a fabricator, so until someone comes up with something that has a factory fit and finish..im leavin it alone!

the guy did that as a hybrid. The clear covers and the buckets are from the GT racing catalog, and he made some fogs fit instead of the square light GT racing sells. Here is the guys site: http://www.cardomain.com/id/pca944racer

and GT racing

The first one is just plain garbage. The white car looks cool until you realize that after just fifty miles on the interstate your lexan cover as so pitted the light gets refracted in a million directions.

In my opinion, the 944 has a wide and masculine look to it. I have always saw the back and front body of the car in that manner. When I see these headlights on the car, for some reason it looks more feminine. (no offense to women whatsover... so don't get your panties in a bunch)

I think stock looks much better than this conversion, but people are entitled to their own opinion..
