1991 S2 Windshield wipers won't work
When I bought my 91 944S2 coupe, the windshield wipers never turned off, so the guy actually removed the wiper arms. Now I can't get them to turn on at all. Does it sound like a switch problem on the column? What wires should I check with a voltmeter? Any help would be appreciated. I checked the fuses. I don't remember if there is a separate relay for the wiper motor. I know there is the relay for intermittent function, that's in place. Thanks! Kevin

Well, I would say if you haven't been hearing the motor all this time, he did more than just remove the arms. If that was his only solution, and he drove it that way for a long, long, long time, I suppose he could have burned up the motor. But I can't imaging how long it would take to burn out a wiper motor without even any arms on it..... it would be a very long time.
I'm guessing he removed, unhooked, or cut something somewhere... Maybe forgot to tell you?
But as for specifics, both mine work well, so never looked into that. Can't help with testing. I'm interested to see what you find.
