Look through the archives and you will find alot of similar stories. I only go there only when I am in a pinch and only to pick up. They have owed me $50 for a year and seem to have lost the paperwork even after I have given them copies.

They prey on people new to owning P-cars.

It is amazing how AutoAlanta stays in business without some crazed screwed customer coming in and mowing down everyone with a machine gun.

You're not the only one. There are a couple guys behind the counter that are ok, but the owner is a complete waste of human DNA and I won't buy anything from them either. If they were the only source of P car parts, I wouldn't drive a Porsche.

Okay, they've slipped from mailorder parts business being bad (that's were the Vast majority of complaints were based before) to now having someone local having an issue with parts. I had them do my PPI ($100) and thought/still think it was a Very good PPI. The mechanic even took about 15 extra minutes to point out everything that he found and told me what to expect should I try to fix it myself. Very through, friendly (even if I did stand arround at their counter for 20 minutes before anyone even asked me if I needed help). That said, there are better shops in the area for service and Much better places for parts online.

AA is a palce of last resort from what I hear...

Years ago I did a lot of 914 business with them by mail order/phone and was very pleased.

But I haven't needed to buy anything for the last few years so I'm not sure when it all went down hill...

Default Still lousy - Avoid them like the plague

I made the mistake of placing an online order with Automobile Atlanta. They had listed, in stock, a set of used 944 Factory Sport Springs. I ordered them, and two rubber plugs (cam plug and tranny plug) I needed at the same time, figuring I save on shipping. That was on March 9th. I called up ten days later to check on the order, and I was told the springs are being "sourced", and the plugs were on order, and will arrive in the next couple of days. So much for being in stock. They would call me the following day to confirm on delivery of the springs. No calls. Another two weeks goes by and I call again, now the story is the springs are not available, and the plugs are on order, and will be a couple of days. I tell them its been a month of stories, and I want to cancel the order. They first tell me I can't, as they were special order (Nothing on the order, or order page gave any indication other than they were "In Stock", and still they order page saids this). I talk to another person, who conveys the same party line, but is even less pleasant than the first. Finally, they agree to cancel the order. Now I need to contact Amex to make sure they don't try to sleeze the order through anyway.

Advise: Never ever use them unless either you don't really need to part, or you like to patronize rude and less then ethical businesses.

P.S> They still show the springs as "IN STOCK" Don't you believe them!

I got a Victor Reinz full gasket set for my S2 for $99, Crankshaft and balance shaft seal for $4 each, from a store in PA. It only took three days to get here. They don't have a website but I can PM you their e-mail address.

I just noticed how old this post is so NM but if anyone else wants the e-mail address to this store let me knw.

I tried (like a moron) to get a pair of tie rod ends. (My boots were torn.) I called, because I was in a pinch to get new tires, and spoke to George. He said he had them in stock and was sure due to the fact they had done inventory on Thurs. I arrived Sat AM to find George with a blank stare. He had two........two different types of tie rods. I got one, but am still sitting with my car in pieces. The guy behind the counter said to make sure George goes and puts his hands on them. I will contact an online outfit and have one sent next day air.

I am not going to rant anymore. I was a moron for going over there in the first place.
