I know a guy with an SVO. I was told they put out 150 hp. Pretty cool car though.

the first year put out 170 the 85.5 put out around 215 and 245 torque in 85 only a little more than 1000 made 85.5 included: only around 200 i think 9000 for total production 84-86

try the merkur sites. the merkur xr4ti is what the mustang should have been. twenty years ago it offered the same IRS that ford is making a big deal about now. the merkur has the brazilian cast 4 cyl motor and was turbocharged.

wellerkur had the same size ring gear as svo's: 7.5" the new independent rears are an 8.8" and it is actually loosely based on the one from the mark viii's. i didnt know of different castings, but everything is the same with the turbo 4 cyl.s. but the merkur has better wiring supposedly, and had the larger intake manifold that didnt show up until 85.5. me and my friend figured something out: were getting some parts from a vw tuner.
