Porsche = motorcycles?
#16
i think porsche may have also been consulted in the design of the v-rod's frame.
i know porsche could build a bike if they set out to do it. the real question is, could they build a bike with a soul or a personality?
take bmw, the company that gives us the raucous m3 for the past 16 or so years. it's a fabulous sports car, but their bikes are absolutely boring. sure, the design is great, things are well though out and over engineered, but they have the "feel" of a sewing machine. not a bad thing, but not a good thing in the eyes of someone that likes a little attitude built into their machines.
the slickest thing out there right now? either the benelli tornado or the mv agusta f4.
ohlins is nice stuff (owned by yamaha), but i agree with brian. the penske suspension is incredible. wp also makes some nice products, but again, not in the league of penske.
