That does look good. I used a lot of parts from CB Performance in my old VW days. They make good stuff.

Has Harry seen this yet?

mmmmmmmmmmm..... drool...

yeah ive seen this one before, and made a post about it on the general discusion forums.

look at the plummin' on that bad boy! reminds me of seeing pics of max's old turbo. (a fellow 912er). now his had some great plumming!!! gotta scrounge around and see if i can find some pics of his to show ya.

id go for it, but i cant afford it.
not only that but the engine life on a 356/912 turbo engine is fairly short.

The plumbing is nice, but it would be a bit better if the entire carb was boxed and pressurized. Forced induction through the top only can cause unexpected leaks. I was looking at doing a similar setup on my 58. That is definately a nice piece of work, though.

CB does make somne really good stuff. I visited their shop a few years back when I was stationed in CA. I was very impressed. It's a small operation but very professional, clean shop, well engineered products.

lookit how small that little compressor side is. What is that like a K12 or something? Actually makes my K26 look big.

I wonder how that works, putting a turbo on a MFI engine. I'd be terrified of running too lean at high RPM.

its cool rich. maybe thats why they dont have a long engine life when they turbo them. (the whole too lean at high rpm).

ok.. just currious...

what exactly would someone need to do to do turbo a 912 engine? where would the different rubber and steel braided hoses go? how difficult and how expensive?

Harry, are you really considering it? That would be a hell-of-car if you did! or are you just asking out of curiosity?
