Default Looking for a few heat shields

Have my NA back together after the clutch job and I found cracking/integrity issues with the heat shield that goes right above the muffler, as well as the central heat shield that's sort of right below the shifter area between the torque tube and exhaust. Who has some from a parts car they want to sell?

Semi related. My exhaust has a 2-bolt flange between the forward and aft section, whereas it seems the stock flange is 3 bolt (right after the cat). The gasket could use replacement. Any recommendations besides custom making a copper gasket? I'm not sure if anything is available off the shelf.

If it is the same one on a later car vs an earlier one, I might be able to help out once the ground gets harder..Guess that you need it sooner than later?

I have all of those shields already off but the box won't be small so shipping might be $30-$40....if you can't find someone local I'll sell the shields cheap, $30 for both

Awesome! Thanks guys. I'll probably raid them from my 951 for the time being, then buy replacements to put on it when the time comes.

Smile sound absorber

Has anyone ever replaced the sound absorber unit on the engine end of their car? It's the one with all the aluminum foil allover it, and behind the engine. I was considering doing this since some PO took the clutch out with an hatchet..I swear. I would like to tidy up the appearance of that area since the engine and the TT are both out of the car. Pelican says they can't guarantee the fitment of the Porsche part..Anyone have a suggestions or comments? Are the early and late cars that much different for this part? Thanks.

So I was able to replace the central heat shield (under the shifter) with the one from my 951. But it turns out that the one over the muffler is different on early cars, presumably because the gas tank and transaxle and crossmember are different. So, still looking for that one.

Is your muffler heat shield from an early car? If so I'll take that and the central one.
