Wider wheels for 951?
I have been wondering about this for some time. Are there and 16" Porsche wheels with the 86 951 offset that are 8" wide up front and 9" wide out back?
Before I got into Porsche's, I had owned 14 Conquest Tsi/Starion ESiR's and they had an optional sport suspension package that included 8" front and 9" rear 16"s. I know this is neither here nor thier with the 951's but it sure would be sweet to have 225/50's up front and 245/45's on the rear.

Just speaking to Fuchs:
I dont *think* so unless you get repos like from HRE in which they can make them in any size/offset you want.
I believe all 951s had the optional 7s and 8s Fuchs in place of the phones. I think 911s had standard 15s until 89 when it went to 16s, but w/different offsets at 7s and 8s (you could have factory upgraded to 16s up through 89 though). The 911 Turbos came with 16s in 7s and 9s standard starting in 87 I think.
Im not 100% sure on this though so someone more knowledgeable may want to correct me.

Check out the link below for my 951...I am running Bridgestone Potenza RE730 225/50's up front and 245/45's rear.
The tires give the 951 a nice low profile and wide stance, but the rear Potenzas do give out a progressive louder hum as speed picks up.
There is a similar thread on this topic in the Pelican forum:

They were optional on the Club Sport wheel...further I run those tire sizes on 7/8s and all is fine.

There are 16X8 and 16X9 fuchs available. Rare and often big $$$.
AG951, are those 16X7/9 993 rims the correct offset for an '86?
