Exclamation Stainless steel brake line HELP!!!

Ok, i finally want to upgrade my S2 to have stainless steel brake lines. AJ USA is running holiday specials on the lines, but it says M030 only! How are the M030 brakes different than mine? Isnt the rotor only like 2 millimeters bigger? (i know im probably wrong...) Can i still use these, or is there somewhere else i should get them from?? Can anyone direct me toward some proper braided brake lines?

Hey, AJUSA also offers a throttle body upgrade for the S2 ? Makes it bigger? Would i really see benefit on my car with just the exhaust upgrade. Or would i need a somehow less restrictive air-intake?

Would it be worth doing in the winter while the car is sitting around based on their charge for enlarging it?

M030 brake lines to the calipers are different than the "regular" calipers and will not fit. In fact the M030 has a short hard line section that is supposed to act as a little finned air cooler section as I recall. Gotta go out and look at my M030 and 968 Cab brakes I guess....

hey, post a link to those AJ USA M030 SS lines on sale for me! Thanks

Strange, there are two basic line configurations for the 944. The rears are all the same from the 924 to the 968. The fronts differ some - Check your front factory brake lines to see if they screw directly into the caliper or if the flexible line attaches to a hard line that then attaches to the caliper. I may be missing something, so maybe give them a call. I'll assume your 91 S2 has hard lines from the front rotor attached to soft lines that lead to the fenderwell.

Maybe i will give them a call. You can access that link by just going to the main rennlist page (www.rennlist.com) and it pops up on the right frame.

1) where did you see the RL specials page? I dont see a thing on the HP about it.

2) they have the stainless hoses for 37.50 if you go to their website. Then again, they want 10 bucks to ship them!

Thanks for the links but I dont want to spend 125 bucks (just spent over 1400 in two days). 10 dollars just seems real high to ship 1lb of parts.

Tony,
I know some people on this board are not thrilled with Auto Atlanta but I bought a set of ss brake lines from them and am thoroughly enjoying them.

The lines in the website that Randy posted look too short. My front lines on my S2 are quite long and are flexible from the caliper to the inner fender. I would think that the ones on your car are the same.
