Default Pacific Raceways track video - real big, sorry

Just uploaded my first video to 'puter. Using Pinnacle StudioDV, and the size is 10M! Just broke open the box tonight, so hopefully there's a learning curve.

http://www.tech-session.com/video/pr_oct03.mpg

Video is small (picture) and looks like crapola, but has sound (need to filter the wind noise). Is one lap of Pacific Raceways (aka Seattle International) in my 86 944 following a 964.

Any video editing tips appreciated. Is a Canon ZR10 firewire connected to Wife's new HP desktop using the aforementioned Pinnacle StudioDV(8). I have tons of video, but never bothered to "puterize" it. Kinda neat, but image quality for the Internet sucks humus.

Skip,
Very nice vid. Once you get rid of the wind noise it'll sound as good as it looks. Nice job keeping up with the 964, there was only one turn where he really took off, and it looked like if you pushed a little through the turns you could take him.

Skip, good driving! Can I have a higher quality vid? like 50megs? rennlist gives 200MB for member webspace.

I don't like turn one. It always seems to me like I catch up to traffic right at turn one, and I have to start braking right when I'm coming over the kink/bump.

I guess I'm lucky the 951 is so well balanced, cuz I didn't have trouble catching it, but my instructor drove a 911S and he got pretty paranoid about it. He kept asking me to keep it below 110mph through the strip. I don't blame him, but it kinda sucked.. I could easily have passed 140 thru the straight if he'd let me, (did 130 easily a couple times) but the kink would have been a lot hairier.

Skip, use DivX http://www.divx.com/ to compress the videos - really easy, and you will get better quality. I use it for all sorts of video compression 30+ minutes down to about 85Mb

Methinks you should take her out for a little national tour thing! Drop by DE's at various tracks around the country. Great Promo for Paragon. Heck I'd bet you can write off the tour as advertising!

Jason we have 3 track in Phoenix City area with great access to local population, great winter racing weather and No rain!

I was going to be there but the loaner car we are driving will not be (his mother in law passed). No hard feelings, I will go to Homecoming instead. Jason, need me to pick something up for you there? How about a BIG Baylor bumber sticker for the TRS??? That would look really good!

Ahhhh...thanks for the vid Skip. Brings back some fond memories. It was good to see you at the track, I'm eagerly waiting for the next event in the Spring.

Rich - fyi, my instructor wasn't so ****, so I got to get well into fifth gear down the straight. The car was hitting 220kph just before turn 1, so that's just under 140mph. I had the same problem, and was right up everyone's *** heading into turn 2. A few times I had to lift off before turn 1, to allow myself to be on the gas through that corner. Damn slow drivers!!!
