Default Front spacer fitment problems

I'm trying to fit hubcentric h&r style spacers on my front and ran into fitment issues. The front hub has the cap with speedo cable. That lip is not allowing the spacer to fully seat onto hub. Have you gut run into this? What was the fix? I'm thinking of finding another cap and grinding that lip down.

I've had to machine out the bore of spacers to put them on the front.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about that approach but don't have proper equipment. I would be manually drilling holes with a drill press and cleaning holes manually with same drill press and end mill bit. Maybe it would work? Better if I had a cnc or lathe.

I'm lucky enough to have a lathe.

Are you sure it's the cap? Does the spacer fit fully on with the cap removed?

Definitely the cap. I ground off 1mm all the way around and the spacers fit great.
