Schmooey

Hey folks, I did some searching for this and came up empty so I hope someone here can give me an idea about this...

My hatch defroster does not work at all, but the light on the switch does come on when I turn it on... but oddly, it waits quite a while to light up. Sometimes up to 15 seconds. Is this normal behavior? I thought I recalled it lighting up immediate, but now I'm not so sure..

I believe it's the relay that is at fault for why the defroster is not working, but I'm wondering if this light issue would indicate something else. I seem to have electrical power on both sides of the defroster, so I'm wondering if the relay is on the fritz... thanks!
