Starting in 2015. Ford started using LEDs for headlights...If you use the lens (specially made for this) and their LED, we might be able to get it shoe-horned into the pop up light housing...just spitballing here..then we can all win!

I did put these headlights in: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They also seem very bright! But that was a pretty simple job - didn't seem video-worthy...

Probably a much easier install than the Ford/Sylvania units. Thanks, Van!

Only morons use the word Awesome.

Cibie's are a great light "not awe inspiring" and always have been assuming you can find them, a better alternative is Kioto's, same e2 beam pattern but a more resilient lens. Cibie uses crystal which according to Cibie offeres a much more pure light but it is very fragile where the Kioto's are glass and not as susceptible to fracturing. I use to run 80/100 watt h4's and would routinely fracture the Cibie lens when it rained, freezing rain or snow, no I didn't drive the 944 in the snow I used the 7" rounds in my 77 MB 300D and 5 3/4" rounds in my Scirocco GTI 16v.
I've been a cibie user since the late 1970's but the 7" round e2's are extremely rare and an early user in the late 70's of halogen lights before most people knew what halogen lighting was.
I also have a set of Marchal Amplilux's but you can't get led's to fit in them so they are just sitting on a shelf for another project. Maybe one day I'll find h3 and h1's that will fit in them and I'll finally get to mount them in our 944.

Ahh yes- nothing like sitting
At a Stop light in my low-slung 944 and a “bro-truck” rolls up behind with HID drop-in, on hi beam, badly aimed, with a few extra pusher bar-mounted lights. A quick glance in my rear view mirror makes me feel like Jesus is calling me up to follow the light…
