Default stock late offset (87+) 951 tire to fender measurement

Hi-

Anyone with a late offset car with stock wheels want to do me a quick favor? Would you say the tire is sub flush, flush, or proud of the fender edge?

Thanks!

Bonus points for using terms like "sub flush" and "proud of"
Kind of depends on which car (S or non-S) doesn't it, they have different offsets.
On my 89 951 'S' (yeah, I said it...) with stock M030, stock forged 16" CS', and stock tire sizes... sub-flush by approx. 1"-1.25" at the top of the tire, front and rear. Of course, the fender arches are not parallel to the tire faces, and at the rear for example are basically flush with the tire at the lower edges.

Car details-

1987 944 Turbo, (not S or M030 option) with 16x7, 52.3 mm offset wheels.

Get ready to award more bonus points.

I'm looking for this measurement-

With the edge of the red level tangent to the outer lip of the fender and perpendicular to the ground, distance to the wheel center. I've got about .75".

Thanks!

well again it depends on the wheels... but if you want someone to specifically provide their measurement for 16x7 phone dials ET 52.3 then you're good to go.

Incidentally, I understood what you wanted but gave you the measurement to the face of the tire... because you said tire
If I had gone to my wheel centers, it would have been two different answers (F & R) and not at all representative of your phonies.

Sorry- not quite understanding. Should I expect your 89 S with M030 to be the same suspension geometry as my 87 turbo? Are you running 16x7 with 205's? If that's true, a measurement to the tire would be fine. Just want to be sure the comparison is apples to apples (obviously we can't correct for alignment differences...)

No, you shouldn't expect them to be similar... different suspension, different wheels/offsets... which gets back to my point exactly in my first post.
Originally you just said "stock late offset" so it wasn't completely clear what you wanted. I gave you mine as a data point, anyway. Now that you've clarified... perhaps others with a similar setup as yours will weigh in.
