screwy thing about the camaro board is the people there think F-bodies are the best car out there. I cant imagine hanging out on a board full of car owners that think their model car is the best car made! To top it off, a bunch of the people on the board are pissed the car isnt made any more. what a bunch of losers! ![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
I got a few names from that link, and set up an appointment for this saturday to have the tint on the door glass removed and replaced with a lighter tint. all for $85. too bad the place is an hour drive away. but i will probably spend less time driving there, having the work done, and driving home than doing it myself.

Psyched,
got a place 5 minutes from the house. $60 for the two windows if the old stuff comes off without leaving glue, add $20 if there is glue on both windows.
an extra hour sleep on saturday. what a dream come true.

I removed mine and as stated, the glass needs to be in hot sun while working in the sun. I covered the area near the window with tarp and sprayed the window with diluted Wurth degreaser. Let it soak in for 20 minutes, sprayed again. Started from corner and pulled off at a 45 degree angle. Pulling off at a angle rather than up and down or side to side worked best for me. I used a razor blade for areas that did not come off.
Back window took about 30 minutes to remove.

Does tint actually reduce thermal gain in a car?
Being a dark color, I don't understand how it could, you'd think iut would absorb more heat.
If it were white, it would make more sense, right?

I can tell you this much it keeps my leather a whole lot cooler than having the sun bake it all afternoon.

I bet the window glass itself gets warmer with tint, but the interior stays much cooler. Like you said, it absorbs more heat, and so it doesn't let as much get through.
