Default Cam cover installation: RTV where?

My cam cover is finally ready to go on - over 10 hours of prep - including bead blasting and sanding.

Here's a pic.

One impt. question - there's mention of using some RTV silicone on the cover gasket - where should this be applied? Just aroung the corner? ON the head - not between the seal and the cover? (That interface looks pretty leak proof.

Thanks in advance - I'm ready to put this thing together and try out my new tensioner!

Hey RG-

When I applied the RTV, it was only on the elevation changes of the gasket , where it rises to go over the cam bearings. Flats should be pretty leak proof.

BTW sweet looking cam cover. You guys with these pretty cam covers are shaming me into working on mine.....

Cover's in and torqued down - no gushing leaks - but we'll see.

Cover turned out great - the old paint was so ratty - this is a nice change.

Inspiration from someone else on the list thought - not an orinigal desing.

Thanks for the RTV tip - I did that - we'll see how it holds.

Okay cam cover is in and it's working nicely. So nicely - I picked up a whopping $300 ticket last night! Doh!

Well, here's how it looks.
