Fixed headlights?

Ice. you're exactly right, i want to do this mostly for weight saving purposes but i also want a quality product. It's like a Carbon FIber hood, it saves around 50Pounds but it's hard to find a good quality product for a reasonable price Now i'm poundering whether 30 pounds will make that of a difference Glad there is place like rennlist where peoplee write honest reviews 944 is my weekend/dream car so i am completely confused now Gt-racing kit - $600, PITA to bring to a good fit and finish. Your full boat kit- $350 but i can write up my car as a new light house for the next blackout. Best solution probably is to go with your kit, save $250 and sign up for a coupla month in gym to loose 30 pounds

Matt, i won't be reassemling my car back together until late spring My funds are low and i'm taking my time. I definately won't touch the headlights until spring, but if you guys come out with a good kit that can offer decent night lightning+people will be satisfied with the quality i'll go for it. I'll be watching your progress and i'm more then willing to help with what i can Good Luck!
Vlad.
p.s. i never gave up on anything, as i said before i'm still not 100% sure which type of lights i like more

Here's a pic of my light conv. I got the GT buckets and covers, alot to be desired as others know. I used some aluminum anglt to mount them damn solid too. I used driving lights available at most auto stores I have not seen them on yet. I plan to run them with relays to reduce the load on the stock switch and wire them for all to be on with the hi-beams...

Iceshark - I am striking out trying to find the lenses. I bet I have called 2 dozen distributors and no one knows what I am talking about. I have even told them what page to look for in the catalog. BTW- Hella USA was a total joke, I cant believe people are able to sell product at all the way they handle the phone.

Matt, Yeah, I know. Just try sourcing the parts for my Full Boat headlight package; you will grow old and gray and insane by the time you get it done.
Do you want me to chase a pair of the SAE halogen dipped beams down for you? May as well get a pair so you can use them for something if this project dies on the vine. I could also go after the euros or HID. Just let me know how much money you want to sink into getting a sample to work with.

Yeah, how much do you think we are talking? I have one source checking, he was a little reluctant until I reminded him that I have 1542 stores buying from him. Might be a good idea to TRY and make me happy. If you can find them, do you think we can have them before Nov 15th?

I don't know if we can get it done by the 15th, especially if we have to go to Europe. Let me make my first call here.
Ok, I have one supplier checking on stock on a pair of the halogen dipped beams.

OK, I have some people coming then, if we had one then we could try to make mock up of it. If not no biggie. Just give me a price so I know how much stuff to sell :>)

Matt,
I'm in. I have more than a few ideas, and I like the Dallas area, so maybe a visit is in order. Rather than create a lot of bandwidth noise on it tho, lets go offline. PM me with your number and I will give you a call.
