Default 944 ABS light

Since i bought my 87 944 the ABS light has been on. I have been driving the car alot and have not had any problems with braking but im sure the ABS wount work and the wheels will lock if i slam on the brakes. My question is, what could be wrong? I spoke to a Porsche tec and he told me it might be a sensor and only cost about 100. What do you guys think?

Could be the sensor. Could be the relays. Could be the whole damn unit!. Have the dealer run it through one of their diagnostics to be sure, or take a risk on the sensor. They're also $100 each, and do you know that it's only 1 that's gone?
