when you see where the autocross site is you will understand. Remember the oak beach inn or OBI, it was the only establishment within about ten miles.
you are racing on a paved dune on an island less than a half mile wide. there are three roads off the island.

What a great event! Despite the weather not cooperating, and only getting 3 runs on the second day, it was a lot of fun.
Post your results!
At the end of the first day, there was a 2 second gap between the second place car and myself. (3 seconds between first and me: three cars total in class).
Somehow, on the second day, I made up that 2 second deficit and took 2nd in class!! Whoo Hoo!!
It was nice to meet some of you from the board: Tom R and Dan Gallagher. Tom, like I said, your Camaro looks real "cute." We gotta get you back in the fold before you really start growing a mullet!

Just as soon as my brother puts another thrity thousand miles on his car i will be back. thats about a year from now, and i have his old michelins in the garage that will fit the cookie cutters and be perfect for autocrossing next season.
at dinner saturday i spoke to a fellow lodge brother that owns a tire store, told him the tires i had on the camaro, and he told me my complaints. turns out its not all the fault of the solid axle. now if i could just get more than 11 mpg (replacing the factory chip should help).
