Default WTB:Brake Calipers

Guys..Need some help here..I need to buy a pair of rear brake calipers that are rebuildable and not frozen. They are for my '83 944 NA plain jane. The ones that I have are so old that the pistons and the retaining pins are frozen solid. Along with this, I also need the retaining plates for the pad pins, that on mine, were rusted totally into 4 separate parts when I got the pins out. Thanks, Tiger 03447

Have you tried dunking them in s bucket of CLR and leaving it for a week or so? I've done this recently on some parts and have been amazed at the results,

I just went through this, I used a punch, a BFH, and a lot of PB Blaster to knock the pins out. Once it was apart, a quick air compressor blast blew the pistons out. Care must be taken not to have your fingers between the piston and the housing while doing it, because it hurts when they fly out. A lot.

944 351 952 01 is the part number for the hardware kit you need.

928 352 941 00 is the rebuild kit.
