I thought I'd mention that the Rennbay power steering pump reseal kit fixed the groaning/buzzing power steering in my supercharged 928S4 which has the same pump as the 944/968 (but a different pressure relief).

I'd tried flushing the fluid, tried replacing the reservoir, to no avail. I was not sure the noise, cavitation noise probably, would be fixed with a pump reseal but it must have had an internal fluid leak or something that was causing that groan because it's fixed.
