Update: So I had the head resurfaced...he took 5 thou off, and did a valve job.

It went from pic1 trauma week to pic2 on Sunday...after three days at Watkins Glen...three days of pedaling hard to keep up with the big boys. Fun times!

A couple of small issues:

I have picked up a slight hesitation on light acceleration which I am trying to track down.

My oil cooler seals did not seal to the block. The channel in the housing was too wide for the o ring that came with the kit. It leaked water and I had to back it up with sealant. Not sure why. I am going to replace this with a 951 external cooler this winter...anyone have a setup for sale?

Thanks for the help!

Nate

I used a modified S2 oil cooler and blue aeroquip lines for mine..Used the sideplate off of a later car and got rid of the oil/water arrangement. Aero quip will sell you the proper adapters for AN to Metric for the line attachment.. Had to have fittings TIGGED into the oil cooler to make it work right. Am in process of building a mount to fit the cooler in the front of the A/C condenser and run it horizontally instead of up and down. Good luck..BTW It cost about 150.00 or less for the fittings and the hoses..
