Default Representing at the Deutsche Classic, Oley, PA

Drove up to the Deutsche Classic in Oley, PA this morning. It got off to a wet start, then cleared a little, then had a major downpour, but it was still a good time. About 300 miles of butt time in the 944, so that was fun. I've been trying to make this show for 3 yrs and finally made it today.

There for four 944s. 2 N/A and 2 beautiful 951s. Met and had a good chat with the 951 guys. Of course there were some other nice P-cars too. 356s, 911s, 993s, 997s, 928s.

Also scored an original 1986 944 sales brochure to match my car!

Couple of pics. My girl is the Zermatt Silver. Sadly, the Stone Grey 951 got away before I could get a pic, but the Guards Red was beautiful!

Great looking Zermatt Silver !

I would be proud to own it...... and take those stock wheels over the later/different model twists any day of the week.

Thanks for posting your photos

Thanks for posting your pictures. You should bring that beauty to the MD/VA/DC area Deutsche Marque Concours next year. Held in Nottaway Park in Sterling VA. it's usually the first Sunday in May. Hope to see you next year

I thought about attending the Deutsche Marque show this year as it's not too, too far from me. After it got postponed due to the monsoon season, I had a conflict for the make up date. Seems like I have weather issues related to German shows.... Missed Deutsche Classic last year because it was pouring rain south of Baltimore and my clean 944 would have been filthy on arrival. Ran into rain on the way up yesterday, and the the first date for Deutsche Marque was rained out this year. What gives?!! Might try to get down there next year. Question, is it open to Audi as well? Seems like their website only features Porsche, BMW and Mercedes.

Rain and potential rain always seems to be a problem on the day of the event, usually preceded and followed by beautiful weather. Unfortunately it is only BMW, Mercedes and Porsche. I couldn't go last year and but made it there in 2014 after skipping 2013 due to showers After getting the car spotless I won't take it out in the rain and mud. This year the show grounds were fairly dry from the previous monsoon but still muddy in spots. As more cars entered the squishier it got at the entrance to the field.. I got there early and left the back way avoiding any mud, one of the advantages of being banished to the back row with the Boxsters I was the only 924/928/944/968 there so our team needs you next time.
