I wont pretend it's the best Al weld I've ever seen, but it's not a structural part, so as long as it's air tight and well hidden it should be sufficient.

It is air-tight. That said the questionable gap make me think chips of metals might fall out from the gap and enter the engine. It was weld using argon gas (not flexcore) so maybe I am just worry too much.
