That is what I was thinking. Either in CF or simply in fiberglass for folks who what less expensive or want to cover it in vinyl. Actually, there is a manufacturer that I have been in contact with who is thinking about doing this, but using formed plastic covered in stock looking vinyl and also using all of the RS type door pulls and openers. They already have some stock panels to experiment with but IIRC won't be doing anything for maybe a year. It probably isn't too hard to figure out the manufacturer since they already make popular RS type panels for the 911s.

For 85.5+ 944s, here are the NOS parts/prices (as of April 2005) from Sunset. Likely arrive from Germany 4-6 weeks as these are euro-spec pieces. Prices may have changed since April.

944.537.041.00 Manual window arm $113.15
944.537.042.00 Manual window arm $141.45
944.555.057.01 *3DL* (black) Window crank 2 @ $11.39 ea
111.837.595A *01C* (black) Window crank base 2 @ .76 ea
944.537.589.00 Guide rail (optional) 2 @ $6.50 ea

Close to $300 in parts (not including shipping) for NOS pieces.

there is also a crank base gasket 411.837.447 for about .75/ea. Keeps the base from wearing against the door panel. Prices have changed slightly since April, but not by too much.

[edit] my mistake. The crank base gasket is not required except for those using old 924 door panels (early 944, 924S retrofit)

Sure thing. I need some more time to locate the later model lifters and cranks, but the 924s and early 944 stuff is up:

It is my understanding that you can use the early model stuff on the late models with a little "fitting". I believe there have been a few here who have done this, so the search tool may find something useful.

Good Luck!
