Default Charlotte Mechanics?

I plan on doing my own maintenance when I can but I would like to know if anyone in the Charlotte, NC area can recommend a good. inexpensive Porsche mechanic. I thinks that it's better to search for a good mechanic before you actually need one.
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Jim,
I live over in the Weddington/Waxhaw area. I just purchased my first 944S recently and I am feeling out repair shops right now for when I need some work to be done in the future.
Thanks.

We are about 10 minutes from the dealer on Indep. We service lots of cars from the Weddington Area. As far as I know The only Porsche shops in our area is us and touring car. We are actually in Indian Trail just off 485. I understand if you service the car yourself. If we can ever assist you please give us a call. We service ONLY Porsche cars.

There might be some guys cheaper than Jim, but none better. I highly recommend Eurowerks.

I do my own work, but I know one of Jim's mechanics, and I've visited the shop. You can't go wrong at EuroWorks.

I also do what I can, but if there is ever a question that I have or something I can not do Jim and Keith @ Eurowerk are the best. His number is 704-882-6466.

Bryan,

PCA meeting is at 7 or at least thats when i'll be there....

And I will echo the other sentiments on this board, when looking for the best group of guys, both in honesty and skill go to Eurowerks. I've tried a few shops around town, and due to the level of service I get when there is something on my car I can't do myself at Eurowerks I wouldn't take the car anywhere else.....

And thats my 2 cents on the subject....

Jim, I know the area pretty well but I don't think that I've ever seen your shop on Independence. What are you next to?

Eurowerks is located on the east side of Independence between Stallings Road and Indian Trail Drive. Look for the "Asian" (sp.) used car lot with the (8) American flags out front. Jim's shop is in a brown metal building behind the lot. I dont think there is a sign out front and it is easy to miss as it runs perpendicular to Independence.
