Low side service valve, A/C
1987 944 Turbo. This is so embarrassing because I've done it before! But also had 924S and 924Turbo in the past so in my old age, I can't keep them all straight and the memory ain't what it used to be.
I need to recharge 1987 Turbo A/C. Need to find Low Side service valve. Can't. Had front air dam off and looked all over underneath driver's side wheel well area. Thought that's how I did it 3 years ago... no idea now... can't see anything Help!! Pics would help this old guy but in lieu a really good description of where the valve is. Easy to see the high side (red) high pressure service valve near driver's side shock tower but I'm not using that one obviously.
Cheers!

It is on the compressor.
There are two hoses on the compressor.
One goes to the front to the condensor. Not that one!
The other comes from the evaporator, along the strut tower inside the engine compartment. That's the one!
You should be able to see the schrader valve very close where that hose attaches to the compressor.
It may be hard to see because stuff gets dirty down there.
If the cap is not on the schrader valve stem, clean the inside of the valve out carefully, WD40, carb cleaner, anything except brake cleaner (methanol based may damage rubber seal in stem). Be sure to buy a cap to go on the stem.

The location of the low side service port on the suction line (hose between evaporator and compressor inlet) varies with model (turbo vs. non turb) and year.
For 1987 Turbo the service port might be further away from the compressor, located in the aluminum section of the line, such as this:
