I installed an AGLA shift boot when I first bought the car and aside from having trouble getting the "shift pattern button" to sit right it seemed to be high quality. I found a hole down in a fold after about 3.5 years, I had expected it to last longer than that. The hole has been there over a year and is still not noticable unless you look for it, but when it gets worse I'll most likely get another one (unless Rennbay gets some leather ones ).

Thanks for the link. Looks like they've got a pretty solid warranty and replacement policy.

I might try using their leather with the original ****. I don't have any issues with the leather part of the boot, it does appear to be pretty good quality. My main issue is with their ****, since it didn't have any durability at all. I wonder what is better, try removing the leather boot from their **** and using that with my original set-up, or just calling them for a replacement? Ideas?

I can't believe the **** split. Why not just call them and tell them about it so they can send you new one? Mine is over 4 years old and is in fine shape still. Maybe you can glue the halves back together with some contact adhesive from a bicycle tube patch kit.

You know the thing is supposed to just slide on right, your not supposed to drive it on with a hammer

I made my own from a $5 pelt of fine leather. I even re-covered the armrest with it. All you need is a sewing machine and a leather-needle that won't break!!!

And Manning! I WANT THE MONKEY BACK!!!

Wildstar,

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience. I bought the leather shift boot from AGLA 5 or 6 years ago. It arrived exactly when they said it would and it still looks great. Hopefully things haven't changed because I was very pleased with their work.

Good Luck,
Brad

I had my steering wheel recovered with leather by them last year and I was very happy with the results and the length of time it took..
