no the oil looks fine. i just have the froth in the coolant tank. BUT, it does smoke a little on takeoff. i drive it hard. and im the forth owner, i dont know how they drove. i know the guy i bought it from lies. ok, i assumed it was the miles on my car because of oil slipping passed the rings and smoking now and then. but is it typical for the block to crack? im assuming the head gasket is original, but like i said the oil looks fine. should i look into a replacement engine instead? or fix the oil cooler leaks? the car has been overheated before, when my fan cut into my radiator hose. it wasnt running for long like that.

That is a bad rack seal.Other places that are prone to trouble are the little hose under the ps reserviour being loose , and bad seals in the ps pump itself. I think Travis has repair kits for all these leaks.
What is the "tpi"? I had this happen for awhile after I had re-installed my head (after gasket failure)- it seemed to work itself out- still does it occasionally, but milder...

Thanks Kenny- I would think that would be TPS though, not TPI- maybe that's it though- emilysgranny?

Ah yes, the "I" is next to the "O" on the old keyboard, isn't it? That's probably what happened- didn't think of that- emilysgranny?
