seems to be in a show room condition..

But how come in the speedo there is only 85/140 ??
Surely it can do better than that!!

In 1980, Porsche put 85 mph speedos in the 911SC Weissach Edition. They did it as an attempt to increase fuel economy, figuring that with a lower speedometer people wouldn't be tempted to drive as fast.

And no, I'm not making this up.

Perhaps, this was done for the same reason?

Nope, the 85mph speedo was federally mandated as part of an energy saving measure on the highways, we also had the 55mph national speed limit then too. Nearly every car of the same vintage will have one.

The 4 Cylinder 1.5 Liter Turbo Engine aligned with a 5 Speed manual transmission is truly a match made in heaven.

Thumbs up

Very nice looking car. I have always wanted one of these, even when I was looking for a Porsche a few years ago. The only problem was it was hard to find one in good condition. This one on the other hand looks great.

Nice looking car, but being sold by a dealer who evidently doesn't know spit about these cars. I wasn't aware that Porsche ever had a color called "fire engine red". Before bidding, I'd have that one looked at closely. A 931 can become a maintenance nightmare if you can't spin a wrench.

Jeez, I'd like to know what the reserve is set at.

It looks from the photos to be in fantastic shape. The dash isn't even cracked. If I had some money to blow and the car is as clean as it looks I'd start bidding myself.
