86944T why does that not suprise me.

i like anything classic rock, a little bit of the newer (late 90s) stuff in there. i can't take any of this new manufactured music crap, esp. not any of the slutty girls. Eric Clapton, SRV, and the Beatles are among the favorites.

Wow. I'm surprised to find some Ska fans on this board, especially now that the scene is pretty much dead. The Slackers from NYC have a new CD out that is very good. Any fan of Desmond Dekker or the Pietasters will probably like it. I remember a time when bands like Let's Go Bowling and Skankin' Pickle would play all the time.

I'm into pretty much any offshoot of the punk rock subculture, but i'm particular about late 70's and early 80's punk and Oi! Everything from the Adicts and Angelic Upstarts to T.S.O.L. and Youth Brigade. I'm fortunuate enough to live in an area that sees a LOT of good SHOWS. I also love some of the "newer" bands like The Forgotten (from San Jo), Beltones, Tiger Army, Reducers SF, Templars, $wingin' Utter$, U.S. Bombs, Bouncing Souls, etc. etc.

In my CD player at the moment is Denmark's finest.... Psychobilly legends Nekromantix. They are incredible live and in the studio. Any band that plays a custom made upright "coffin bass" and can play a Gretsch with fine precision is pretty damn good.

So I'm sitting with my wife and five year old son in a Del Taco that had just installed a juke box.

Along come some surfer punks and they start to play a "song" where every other word is F**K.

I walk over to the juke box and pull the plug out of the wall and give the kids a dollar for their loss.

They plug it back in and start to play the same song again.

I go out to the car and get the roofing hammer and come back in, pull the plug then cut it off the cord with the roofing hammer's hatchet side.

I take the hammer back out to the car with the end of the cord. I throw the end of the cord on the roof of the Del Taco.

When I get home I file a complaint with Del Taco's corporate office explaining in detail what had happened.

The juke box was gone the next day and Del Taco gave me $100 worth of certificates.
