A fellow 944 spec racer has the Sparco evo 2. The "2" is a little wider. He is 212 and about 5-8 or 5-9 so is alittle "wider" He lost a little width and found the evo 2's a little large.
The seat should fit quite tight. It should be noticeable, but not uncomfortable.

I do have problems with "normal" bucket seats, but in these I can sit for hours and hours and still feel fine. Also everybody who's ever sat in my car has always mentioned they like the seats

I know Ill get the vote of idiot on this one, but Im planning on getting some sort of Recaro and since Im not a big fan of the GT3 seats, Ive always loved the 964 RS seats. I want these in black leather: http://www.fvd-web.com/fvd-usa/catal...ats/index.php3

I need a Sparco America (the fat *** version) and my wife needs an EVO Jr. I think the America is the widest seat they make. I am up there with you Sami (A little larger actually) I dont mind being held, but I dont want to be pinched, by the seat that is!

Non-issue, I am okay with my weight! If I get serious about racing again I will have to lose some though.

i have sat in almost every Sparco, Momo, Recaro, and a few other brands seats. I have a sparco atlas, now called corsa, for my driver seat and a sprint for a passenger seat.here are a few things to think about.
First, you have to decide if you want a fixed seat or an adjustable seat. If this is a street car that is also used for DE andfun on the track I would lean to an adjustable. I have had my fixed seats in my street car for over 4 years. I am now ready to switch to adjustable. Adjustables will alow access to the back seat area as well as have the ability to conform to different passengers. As for which adjustable seat, I do not belive that there is any better adjustable seat on the market than the Recaro SRD's. The torinos are nice and I love the look of the new milanos(only when they are new) but they just dont feel like the SRD's. As for fixed race seats, this is a much more personal option. There are no clear cut winners here, but there are differences in the quality and design between brands. I personaly think that Sparco and Recaro make the best, but MOMO is not fare behind. When chooseing one of these seats you must sit in them and try them out to see what "fits" you. Also, there are three basic designs to these: one pice fyberglass, one pice carbonfyber, tube frame. Though the tube frames are MUCH cheeper, thae do not give the protection or support of the one pice and I belive are not allowed in some racing orgs.
good luck with your search
P.S. if anyone is looking to get a Sparco atlas or Sparco sprint for very cheep just let me know!

Not to divert the subject, but I'd like to share what's been working for me in the spare tire department. I started Atkins (low-carb) in August and have dropped from 220 to 195 with a 2-week break (dropped my first 20, then went to the maintenance phase to rest a bit.) It's not hard, but was painful for me as I like to have breads with just about everything - and, don't even get me started on pasta! I absolutely hate the thought of having to watch what I eat, but this diet has been very tolerable. It takes a lot of work for those who eat out a lot and those who like the quicky meals. Once you settle in to the groove, it easy cheesy (literally!) My target weight is 180-185 - at 5'10" I'm still a little beefy but I won't get blown over in a windstorm. Luckily, I can still have my daily helping of mixed nuts (no, not the emails and phone calls - actual nuts)
Good Luck!
