Default WTB: late camshaft

hey all... seems like i could benefit from this, as i have an 86 dme/afm in my car. i suppose anything from 85.5-87 will work, as they are all the same. i have an early one for trade, actually i have two. i'm thinking somewhere around the $50 range... should be good for a decent used one, as they are bulletproof unless you totally run sand through the motor. so does anyone have one they can sell/trade me?

nope, there was a change frome pre 85.5 to post 85.5, then probably again in 88 (i know they had different pistons, even more hp, but not sure about cam) but with this computer and everything on i'd like to get the correct cam to go with it.

944-105-155-05 is the early cam
944-105-155-09 is the late cam

you are right up to 85 and 85.5 and on up

The cams changed is late 85. They added 6 degrees duraration to the exhaust. According to dyno results from Paul it is worth more HP.
I have an aftermarket cam if you are interested.

Not a problem. Let me find one from the garage. $50 is ok with me, it should cover the time for me to get it out of the cam tower, package it, and take it to fed ex. I will look in the garage and take a pic after I get the thing out. Thanks.

crap i meant the cam tower too... if i could, that would make it easier. all i'm asking for my early cams(in tower) are 50 each. should save you some work, and i'll pay for the heavier shipping.

I have to be able to identify the cam by number. Is there an easy way?
