Recently changed out front pads and rotors for some X-drilled units(and new pads).Like the look but don't notice any improvement in brakeing and infact it has developed an intermitent pulsate and flapping sound while brakeing.Any Ideas?

Either something didn't go together correctly - or the rotors you got we're warped from the get-go.
Re-examine EVERY bit of brake hardware - then check the rotors for runout.

Yes, I'd immediately go through your work again, making sure EVERYTHING is back together correctly. Brakes are nothing to mess around with. That said, might be warped? The pads might not have been seated properly, etc. Good luck.

Thanks guys.Yeah, they were new(ebay)(Zimmerman). It started immediately after install. It doesn't do it all the time.Weird.I guess the rotors could have been warped.Didn't check them .They were still in box.Always something.

Take off the rotors and take them to your local NAPA (or any place that machines rotors) and have them turned. They will be able to tell you if they were way out of spec afterwards. Usually pretty cheap to get this done and at the very least it will narrow down your problem. Plus you already bought the rotors so this is probably your best option.

I had the same feeling in my break pedal. It was NOT the brake rotors. It was actually the rear bushings on the front CONTROL ARMS. Check them, I'll bet they are shot. The local speed shop recomends factory replacements---they have been updated to a better design.
It took me about 45 minutes to replace both. you will need to jack up the car pretty high as this work is on the underside of the vehicle. Takes basic hand tools only to replace them.
TIP: spray paint the area of your underbody around the bushings BEFORE you loosen the old ones. This will aid in placing the new ones in the same location as this affects alignment of the front end. Don't worry about the paint, you will never see it unless you are under the car, and the next time you are under there the cheap spray paint will probaly have worn off anyway.
If the rubber in your bushings visually looks like it is starting to deterioriate, I am 99% sure this is the cause of your problem, since you have already eliminated the warped rotor idea. (I have never heard of new rotors being warped out of the box-keep in mind this is nearly impossible as one of the final processes in their manufacture is the machining of the rotors braking surface.)
Good luck, let us know your findings.
