Default Help with early 944 ('84) dipstick guide tube

Hi guys,

Still pretty new here but I'm hoping someone might be able to clear this up for me. I have a 1984 n/a that came back from the shop with a different pan (baffle installed) but they didn't transfer over the dipstick guide tube, and haven't been able to locate it. Not making it a big deal with the shop because they cut me an amazing deal on the work I had them do.

ANYWAYS, I cannot seem to find the 84 guide tube and dipstick for sale, but I am curious if the issue is between the tube and dipstick, meaning that an 86 dipstick won't work in an 84 or vice versa. Is this correct?

Would it be possible to get a late tube and late stick and be ok? or are the pans that different?

Any help is really appreciated, this is driving me bonkers
