screw it. just gimme a 993 GT1. that said... i think my all time pick for what i wanna own when i'm not poor is a 993TT. i just gotta find some way to put a RWD drivetrain in there. might as well just transplant some GT2 materials...

The 997 is great looking to me - FINALLY! I just can't stand the 996's. And I was so sad to think that the 993 was going to be the latest model Porsche I could ever own!
So here's the revised plan...
1999 951 (done)
2003 944 S2 (doing it!)
2005 993 C4S
2008 997 (anything!)
You gotta have goals right?

My cousin who lives in Germany was at a cocktail party and spoke with the VP of marketing for Porsche and the guy said orders for the 997 will start being accepted during summer of 2004 with the first european deliveries Sept 2004.

i think the new 911 is fantastic.
i am pretty sure these shots are of the new turbo test mule, so we are seeing a slightly disguised car. all the ventwork will be finished for production, right now it looks as though it's all just kinda hanging on there. i doubt we'll see the carrera gt inspired inlets behind the doors on the regular carrera.
the new lights look fantastic, finally different from the boxster. it looks as though this car also has a slight ridge down the insde of each light tunnel leading towards the windshield, similar to the old 911.
you guys are right, those wheels are beautiful. someone made a comment about the old tiwst style. they were actually designed to help pull cool air passing down the sides of the car into and around the brake system.
did you guys see the width of the rear tires? sick.
now who do i have to kill to get one...

the front piece is just hanging over the real body work, the fog lights, blinkers, etc, are now seperate like all 911s before the 966, those rear side vents are huge, but anyone look at a ferrari enzo lately? however, no way will they be that big. the slab sides of C4S are very very popular, along with the rear strip connecting the tail lights. the spoiler also looks over sized and majorly disguised. i love that there is more curve down the sides of the body. i agree the 993 is possibly the best looking car EVER. the other day i saw a 993 carrera RS in black, love the fender flares of the last aircooled, love that spoiler, and the black with the big red brakes, loved the coloring.
