Default 968 fuel gauge seems really lazy/inaccurate!!

as i am driving my recently acquired 968, i am noticing the fuel gauge seems really inaccurate and lazy

it seems to pretty much comfortable to just indicate between 1/4 and 3/4 full... doesn't move well at all to the extremes... for instance, after a fill up, it won't go all the way up to full

makes me wonder whether it is indicating near empty at all accurately (where you really need it to...)

any other 944/968 owners experience this? is there a simple fix for this?

thanks in advance...

My 944 also likes to indicate 7/8 full on an overflowing tank.

It's accurate from 3/4 to zero, though. Just one of those old things about classics.

Try cleaning the sender, you can remove it from the tank through the hatch (pull back carpet).
