Well my quest to purchase a 944 has stalled for now. Bah, I can't wait any longer I've been searching for 3 months now. Buying a used car is way too stressfull. Or maybe its just school thats stressfull and I'm blaming it on cars. Oh well. :\

Baron009: my advise to you is to take your time. Log info on all of the cars you've looked at. Keep track of condition, prices...etc. You'll never know what you can turn up! (Example: A guy was selling a 914 that he claimed to have owned for 5 years. I looked up my records and found that someone else in another town was selling the same car but six months before!)

It took me 4 years of research, saving, looking, reading, more research...etc. before I bought my 944S2. Believe me, it was worth the wait!

Nice Campeck! lol

The car that I'm going to check out now is one that I noticed for sale a few months back, and from what I saw it seemed amazing - good condition, excellent price. Anyways, it was sold before I got a chance to look at it, and now I just noticed that like 4 months later or whatever its for sale again. Am I going to luck out and get sweet car for a bargain, or is it actually a lemon and the guy just wants to get rid of it? I guess I'll find out after I take a closer look at it, or after a PPI.

I'd steer away from something like that! Most likely the current owner realized how much it will cost him to bring the car up to speed, and has determined that it's better to cut his losses and dump it.

I've had mine for about four months now. I won't ever go with out on now.

For all those that think we drive Audis, they need to read the history of the 924/944. Audi contracted Porsche to design a sports car for them. When they backed out of the deal, Porsche finished the project (sharing parts with the as of yet released 928). Out came the 924 and then later the 944.
