Default battery already dead

I bought a battery about 6 months ago, and it's already dead. It died right after my headlights mechanism stopped working (there constantly in the up position) They turn on and off just fine though. Could there be a relay that's shorting out and draining my battery?

Hmmm, did you remove the headlight relay on the headlight motor up next to the windshield washer tank? If they're stuck up the motor may be still enrgized to try and lower them when the switch is off thereby sucking precious batt juice. You should be able to pick-up a new motor cheap. I got a used one from AutoBahn (www.autobahnparts.com) that even had a good relay on it. Pulled out the old motor, bolted and plugged in the new and... Viola! Just like Daddy Porsche designed it. I think it was only $30-35.00

yes, if you remove the relay for the headlight motor, the drain should stop. The draw is not enough to kill a battery overnight, but over time it will weaken and eventually kill it.
