Default What are these rims?

Everytime I see these on the 911's I think its just incredible. Ahh, I love these rims. It would look great on a black 951. Or any other color that will fit black. Anyway, it looks like turbo twists but in a black color.

Question is would the 17's fit perfectly on a 951, or how about the 18's? What colors would this match for a 951?

I was thinking of purchasing the normal set of turbo twists, and a set of these.

I find it pretty sexy.

Hmmm looks like black painted Turbo Twists. Fitment depends on ride height and backspacing.

first of all those are turbo twists. second of all those are wheels, not rims.

rims are the part of the wheel that your tire goes around on 3 piece wheels.

The Turbo Twists on the Black 996TT are a different shape than those usually offered on our cars. They are flatter and more knife edged like.

Those on the car above, and mine, are really called Technology Twists.

They're new model turbo twists, standard on the 996TT and 996 GT2. Almost like the 993TT wheel but not quite. Available as an option to other currently produced cars.

For the TT and GT2 I believe the rears are 11" wide and might be a bit problematic to fit on our cars, but the tequipment alternative for 996 N/A's are "only" 10" wide and it looks like they've also got a proper offset .... check out

For Boxster they appear to have different offset, I wonder why

I know they had problems with bending over time in the hollow Technology Twists. Are the new turbo wheels hollow too?

If you want some 17" replica versions (save a lot of money, but they're heavier), check out tirerack.com, they have replicas in a very nice silver (same color as LIMITEDkrn35S), and a wretched chrome.

i take it you like my answer Alex?

3 piece wheels are assembled from three major components - a cast or forged centre, an inner or back, rim half and an outer, or front, rim half.

They're the new turbo twists...standard on 996TT. The GT2 wheels are an inch wider in the rear, but are solid spoke as opposed to hollow spoke on the 996TT.

Calm down.. god forbid I say rim instead of wheel.

Didn't know you felt so strong about the two.
