Getting ready to pull the intake to find a small oil leak underneath it. It only does it under hard boost. Motor is fresh only 700 miles. Any tips or advive. Will i need to get new intake gaskets etc. How hard is it to take off? Thanks.

Wait a few days for the fuel pressure to drop before pulling off the fuel rail or you could remove the fuel pump relay and run the car until it shuts off. remove fuel rail and strut brace. Right intercooler pipe needs to come off and 8 bolts to the runners on the intake, one bolt on the front of intake mount and two in the rear. About a half an hour to an hour job.

Some folks might disagree, but that's what the forum is for. I've reused my intake gaskets many times with no leaks. Always torque them correctly.

Intake gaskets are CHEAP and I actually found them at Advance Autoparts. Go figure. For me, I wouldn't remove a gasket and not replacing it with a new one, but then that's just me. Good thing, too, since I just found a small drip coming from the back of the engine on my 951. So for access to the heater valve and hoses, off comes the intake for the third time in two months
