Throttle body reseal.. bearing cracked
Did the arnnworx seal kit, and noticed the needle bearing in the cable side is cracked. One little crack on the edge.. all the way through to the roller cutout. Does anyone know how to get these bearing out, or do I have to get a whole new TB??
Otherwise the kit is great.. a little tricky to get all back together due to the tight fit but that's not the kit's fault.
Thanks

Talk to the guys at Piece Manifolds. they do new bearings on Webers. They might have an answer, however, can you get the throttle blade out? If so, do that, then pull the throttle shaft..With a small punch about the size of the bearing, you may be able to drift it from the other side of the throttle body. Prolly have machine a rod or modify an existing punch for a specialty tool just to do this. hope this helps.

In case anyone is curious, Boca Bearing has the bearings for this. I forget the pt#, but they were very easy to find, and are of the exact type used from the factory, with o-rings at both ends of the needles. As for removal, I found a blind bearing puller wouldn't work. I cut the old bearings out with a carbide bit on a Dremel. You have to be careful so as not to butcher up the aluminum of the throttle body, but I wouldn't say it was very difficult.
