Of course it was a replica. No movie would buy a million dollar car to drive out a second story window.
But the car it was supposed to be is awesome.

Are all of the "classic" cars trashed in movies actually replicas?

I would think that sometimes it would be less expensive to trash a classic than make a replica.

For the second Miami Vice car they had a second stunt car. Took a Pantera, dropped a 460 in it (supercharged it too I believe) and dumped a testerossa body on it.

Wasn't cheap to be sure.
